All of our metal punching solutions are designed, manufactured and assembled in-house. Our industry experienced team of designers, project management and production engineers, work together to produce the most effective metal punching solution which meets with your specification and business requirements. TMP also designs and manufactures the production line process equipment e.g. stretch forming, stretch bending, roll forming, assembly etc, which sits either side of the metal punching operation. What is Metal Punching?
The metal fabricating process which removes a scrap “slug” from the metal workpiece each time a punch enters the punching die, is known as Metal Punching.
This process leaves a hole, the shape and dimensions of the punch & punching die in the metal workpiece.
The punching process features include:
- The ability to produce holes in both strip and sheet metal during medium or high production processes.
- The ability to produce holes of varying shapes.
- The ability to produce finished workpieces economically and consistently.
During the punching process a steel punch, made of hardened steel, is forced under pressure, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic into and through the workpiece:
- The punch diameter / shape determines the hole created in the workpiece.
- The punched part falls out as scrap after the punch has entered the die.
- The scrap “slug” drops through the die and collected for recycling.

New Capabilities
TMP expands our CNC High Speed milling and turning capacity with the addition of a Haas UMC 750 5-Axis and Mazak QT250MY turning centre. Further investment in our toolroom, build room and design centre are planned for 2023.

At TMP we continually reinvest in the business. TMP launches operations in North America and Turkey. TMP reduces its environmental impact by installing a 66 kWp solar farm.
